These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kitaso application (the “App”), the optional Kitaso daemon, and the website at kitaso.app (the “Website”), all provided by Ronkatil BV (“we”, “us”, “Kitaso”).
By downloading, installing, or using Kitaso, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Kitaso.
Kitaso is a native macOS application that monitors Linux servers over SSH. It collects metrics such as CPU, memory, disk, load average, and Docker container statistics, stores them locally on your Mac, and can raise alerts. An optional daemon can be installed on your own servers for continuous collection.
When you purchase a license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the App on the number of Macs permitted by your license (currently up to two activations per license), subject to these Terms.

We retain all intellectual property rights in Kitaso. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
Kitaso may be used free of charge to monitor a limited number of servers (currently up to two), with no time limit, under these Terms. A time-limited trial of the full feature set may also be offered via direct download. The free tier and trial are provided “as is” and may change or be discontinued.
Licenses purchased through the Website are sold by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, and the calculation and remittance of applicable taxes.
Prices are shown at checkout and may include or exclude tax depending on your location, as determined by Paddle. We may change our prices at any time, but a price change does not affect a license you have already purchased — your purchased license remains valid on the terms under which you bought it.
If you purchase through the Mac App Store, your purchase is governed by Apple’s terms and processed by Apple.
Your license includes software updates released during the twelve (12) months following your purchase. After that period you may continue to use the most recent version available to you under your license indefinitely. We may offer future major versions as separate paid upgrades. We are not obligated to provide any particular update, feature, or level of support.
Kitaso connects to servers using SSH credentials that you provide. You are solely responsible for those credentials and for the servers you connect to.
You represent and warrant that you are authorised to access, connect to, and monitor every server you use Kitaso with. You must not use Kitaso to access, monitor, or interact with any system you do not own or do not have explicit permission to access. You are responsible for complying with all laws and with the policies of any network or system you connect to.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups and for the security of your Mac and your servers.
Kitaso is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Kitaso will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every issue with your servers. Kitaso is a monitoring aid, not a guarantee. You should not rely on it as the sole safeguard for critical systems.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Kitaso, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to Kitaso will not exceed the amount you paid for your license in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These Terms apply for as long as you use Kitaso. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, including by misusing your license key or using Kitaso to access systems without authorisation. On termination you must stop using the App and remove it from your devices. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at kitaso.app, with the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will not retroactively reduce the rights attached to a license you have already purchased.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Gelderland, the Netherlands will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
